As a SHE Advisor at AstraZeneca, you'll provide vital operational support to our Commercial Business Units across Australia and New Zealand. This role is your chance to manage day-to-day SHE operations, support key stakeholders, and assist in managing business risk profiles effectively.

What You'll Do

Join us part-time at 0.6 FTE for a contract of up to 3 months and be part of something impactful!

Reporting to the SHE Lead, you'll enjoy a high degree of autonomy while having access to team support when needed. Based in Sydney, this national role covers both corporate office and field staff, with a special focus on Injury Management.

• SHE Program Implementation: Plan and implement Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) programs across the commercial business to ensure compliance with SHE legislation and AstraZeneca's Global SHE policies.
Injury Management: Manage AstraZeneca’s injury management process, including the accurate reporting of work and non-work-related events.
Workers Compensation: Provide support in managing workers compensation claims by collaborating closely with medical practitioners, rehabilitation suppliers, and workers compensation insurers.
Compliance Audits: Conduct SHE policy, procedure, and process reviews and audits to ensure alignment with global standards and local legislation.
Guidance and Support: Guide Line Managers in processing workers compensation claims and implementing Return to Work programs.
• Driver Safety Management: Oversee the driver safety policy and handbook, ensuring compliance by relevant employees.
SHE Policies and Processes: Assist in reviewing SHE policies and processes by identifying and incorporating required changes based on legislation updates and recommendations.

Essential Skills/Experience:

• Tertiary or formally recognised qualification (University or TAFE) in the area of occupational health and safety (Cert 4 in WHS)
• RTW Coordinator Certificate
• Injury Management experience.
• Understanding of WHS management system components, methodology and relevant standards and codes of practice.
• Sound knowledge of Australian Legislation.
• Strong communication, engagement, interpersonal skills for all levels of the organisation.
• Experience working with senior leadership team and people leaders.

Desirable Skills/Experience:


• RTW Coordinator training
• Minimum of 3 years working in a commercially focussed business.
